Each feather flag kit includes a 2.6 x 11.2-foot printed banner, a choice between a basic (30 mph wind rating) or premium (63 mph wind rating) pole set, and a galvanized steel ground spike or cross stand base. The pole sets, made of either aluminum and fiberglass or aviation-grade fiberglass, are easily assembled by inserting the smaller sections into their larger counterparts. The flag is then inserted into the pole set, with the tip of the pole secured in the reinforced pocket at the end of the banner.

To set up the display, the ground spike or cross stand base is placed in the desired location, and the feather flag is mounted onto it. Finally, the bungee cord loop at the bottom of the flag is connected around the hook of the pole set, providing extra tension and security.
